On January 1, 2026 we started our airport travel to get to Taipei. Our first flight was delayed 2.5 hours due to mechanical issues, then de-icing the plane. That meant a very tight turnaround in Vancouver to catch our flight to Seoul, South Korea. By the time we race walked 20 minutes in the YVR airport, they were announcing the final boarding call to our flight. As we boarded the plane I got a text notice telling me the AirTag in my luggage was in Terminal C and our new plane was in Terminal D. That isn't promising for getting our luggage when we arrive in Taipei, Taiwan! Though I just checked the air tag whereabouts (which is stored in my checked suitcase) on my phone and it says it is in Incheon Aiport 100 metres away so that is promising!
Flight 2 was nearly a 12 hour flight and I decided to accept an offer to pay some more money for both us to travel overseas in business class. What a treat!! Great food and the ability to lay the seat flat and it becomes a bed. I was pleased with my stretchy comfortable clothes that I wore anticipating the option to sleep. I was surprised that there were at least 8 kids occupying some of the 28 seats in business class. That is a whole lot of money to spend on flights for youngsters!

The dessert tray awaiting distribution!
Once we arrived in Seoul, we had to clear security again to get to our next gate to catch our final flight.
I will post this so friends and family can see we are progressing - though we have now crossed the International Date Line and it is January 2nd!
